Some are discharged after the treatment while others are admitted depending upon their health condition, said Jha, currently, a 12-year-old Sarfunesa of the district is undergoing treatment at the Hospital.
Jha further added that the hospital has abundance of anti-snake venom, a medicine necessary to treat patients with snake bite.
According to the hospital records, 5 persons have lost their lives due to snake bites since the month of Jestha this year alone.
As the Monsoon starts and the mercury rises, the incidence of snakes coming out of their habitat from underground increases. As a result, farmers tilling in the farm land or people living in their homes encounter poisonous snakes.
Informing that the District Hospital has properly managed the treatment plans and kept enough the anti-snake venom, chief of the Hospital Nabal Kishor Jha added that people should take precautions while walking-noticing where they are steeping-, working in a farm-avoiding the bushes- and keeping houses and beds neat and tidy to avoid being bitten by a snake.
