GAIGHAT: Two persons have been killed by a bolt of lightning in Katari Municipality-11 of Udayapur district on Tuesday morning.

The victims have been identified as Bhim Raj Khatri (47) of Hardeni and Bal Bahadur Basnet (55) of Gahunbari.

They died on the spot after the thunderbolt fell upon their houses at around 8:10 am today, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Nara Bahadur KC at the District Police Office.

Their bodies have been kept at the Katari Hospital for the postmortem..
