DHANGADHI: Two persons lost their lives and six others were seriously injured in a road accident at Bhimdutta Municipality in Kanchanpur on Sunday.

According to police, 40-year-old Prem Singh Dhami and 30-year-old Rajendra Nagari who had gone to Mahakali River to attend funeral of a relative died after the tractor (Se 1 Ta 5422) met an accident.

The tractor lost balance as its driver tried to avoid hitting a jeep that had overtaken his automobile, police informed.

Meanwhile, the seriously injured have been referred to a hospital based at Rudrapur in India and Seti Zonal Hospital in Dhangadhi.
