DHANGADHI: A youth was murdered in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-4 of Kailali district on Friday night, said police.

The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Vijay Thapa of Shivapuridham in Dhangadhi-4.

Police nabbed local residents Ashish Seti and Dipendra Chaudhary who were allegedly dragging the lifeless body of Thapa covered in blood last night. The duo has been taken in police custody.

Police suspected that Thapa was murdered in Kalash Hotel near the office of the governor of Sudurpaschim Province.

According to Inspector Wakil Bahadur Singh, the chief at Dhangadhi-based Ward Police Office, Thapa was murdered at around 10:00 pm last night.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been kept at Seti Zonal Hospital, Dhangadhi, while the investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
