BAJURA: Two Nepali Congress canvassers were injured in a clash with CPN-UML canvassers at Budhiganga Municipality-3 in Bajura  district on Saturday.

The injured  have been identified as Basu Serala (42) and Birendra Raule (20), both from the same ward of the municipality, according to DSP Dal Bahadur Bogati at District Police Office Bajura.

Serala has sustained severe injuries to his head and was referred to Bayalpata of Accham for treatment from a local health centre, said Jayraj Upadhyay, NC candidate for ward chairperson of Budhiganga-3.

The clash broke out after the canvassers of both the parties came face to face in the ward, resulting in pelting stones to one another to foil the election publicity campaign of the opponent group.
