KATHMANDU, MAY 16
Two women out on a morning walk were killed after being hit by a car at Basantapur in Buddhabhumi Municipality-1 today.
According to police, a car (BAD 9599) heading towards Gorusinge along the Gorusinge–Arghakhanchi road section struck the women early this morning.
The victims-Shanta Khatri, 60, and Tilkumari Rayamajhi, 65-sustained serious injuries and died on the way to Kapilvastu Hospital, Taulihawa.
Police have taken the driver, Khimraj Shrestha, 32, of Sainamaina Municipality-5 in Rupandehi, into custody for investigation.
