GAIGHAT: Chief District Officer of Udayapur Chandra Man Shrestha has been recalled to the Ministry of Home Affairs and Joint Secretary Pradip Raj Kandel has been sent there to replace him after incidents of bomb explosions targeting polls candidates and other anti-election activities continued in the district.

A total of four incidents of bomb explosion targeting candidates of Nepali Congress and the left alliance reported last week in the district.

Critically injured NC Udayapur Constituency 2 parliamentary candidate Narayan Bahadur Karki and three other NC supporters are receiving treatment in Kathmandu.
