UDMF to launch nationwide stir: Yadav

POKHARA: Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) Chairman Upendra Yadav said that the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) would launch a nationwide stir to ensure the rights of marganalised communities, including Madhesis and Janajatis.

The Front has decided to launch the nationwide stir after the newly adopted constitution did not end the discrimination against marganalised communities, Yadav said during a press conference organised in Pokhara on Tuesday.

"We are for changing the system rather than changing the government," he said. "We will continue our agitation till our demands are met."

Stating that the door for dialogue had not been closed, he accused the government of not being serious towards holding a decisive dialogue and addressing the demands of the Front.

“Though there is no obstruction at border entry points, people are not getting petroleum products easily. This indicates that the KP Sharma Oli-led government itself is indulging in corruption and black-marketing,” Yadav said.
