UML cadre killed in clash with NC in Bajura

BAJURA: UML cadre has died after being hit by a stone in his testicles during a clash with Nepali Congress cadres at Jogedi in Chededaha Rural Municipality-5 in Bajura district on Sunday.

Both the sides exchanged stones during an ugly fracas on their way to file nomination at the Chededaha Rural Municipality Election Office in the district.

The Bajura District Police Office identified the deceased as 50-year-old UML supporter Hansa Rawat of Jogedi-5 in the district.

DSP Dal Bahadur Bogeti said the victim died on the way to the Martadi-based District Hospital.

Meanwhile, the body has been kept at the hospital for autopsy.

Similarly Nepali Congress cadre 45-year-old Dhan Nath sustained head injuries and said to be in critical condition, informed the police.

Nath is currently undergoing treatment at the local health post, according to police.

It has been learned that at least a dozen cadres from both sides were injured in the incident.
