UML candidate Janak Raj Mishra elected mayor of Sundar Bazaar Municipality

LAMJUNG: CPN-UML candidate Janak Raj Mishra has been elected as the mayor of Sundar Bazaar Municipality in Lamjung district.

Mishra garnered 4, 969 votes against Nepali Congress Badri Man Shrestha's 3, 485 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress Gyanu Shah has won the deputy mayor post with 4, 323 votes against CPN Maoist Centre's candidate Shanta Bhujel's 3, 479 votes.

Likewise, UML candidate Surya Bahadur Dura has won the election as ward chairperson of ward number 1 in the Municipality. In ward number 2 UML's Lokraj Pandey panel has won the elections.

In ward number 3, Nepali Congress candidate Amrit Neupane and his panel won the elections.

In ward number 4, Nepali Congress candidate Krishna Raj Khaniya and in ward number 5 UML's Lalit Gurung were victorious.

Ragunath Mishra, Jaya Ram Regmi, Krishna Kanta Adhikari and Moti Prasad Gurung, who are the UML candidates, have been elected as ward chairperson of 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 respectively.

NC's Jaya Bahadur Adhikari was elected as chairperson of ward number 10.
