UML can’t afford to lose in Province 2: Nepal

Birgunj, July 25

CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal today said his party couldn’t afford to lose the upcoming round of local elections in Province 2 scheduled for September 18.

Speaking at a gathering of senior party cadres in Birgunj today, the senior UML leader urged his party’s rank and file to buck up and apply themselves in earnest for the upcoming elections.

“UML has always stood by the people in all the ups and downs; that’s why the people trust the party. I want to see the party emerge to the top in the upcoming polls too,” he said, directing the cadres to unite and work to secure victory for the party.

Nepal also expressed confidence that the dissenting Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal would take part in the elections.

“We got the party of former rebels to join elections in the past. I am confident that we’ll bring RJP-N on board the poll process too,” said the former prime minister.
