DHANGADI, NOVEMBER 12

CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has commented on the ruling coalition's HoR candidate in Doti, accusing the CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Prem Ale of disgracing the entire nation with his 'dirty words'.

"Once upon a time, he was our candidate and also won the election, but why the Nepali Congress chose to support him on behalf of the coalition by fielding its own party leader from elsewhere seems inexplicable," Oli said addressing a mass meeting in Doti, district headquarters Dipayal, referring to Ale and a controversy related to him.

He (Ale) was our leader earlier and behold how he has disgraced not only Doti but the entire nation by speaking obscene words," said Oli, asking voters not to vote for such a man. "He's the one who breached your trust; I hereby urge you all to think twice while casting your vote this time." Also, the UML chief sympathised with NC leaders and cadres in the district who were deprived of the chance to vote for their own party leader. "Not only in Chitwan, but also in Doti, Congress has prevented its own leaders and cadres from voting for theirparty candidate, so I hereby urge NC men to vote for UML to correct their own party," he told the audience.

UML has fielded Gauri Oli as its parliamentary candidate from Doti, while Chakra Malla and Tek Bahadur Bam are its Provincial Assembly candidates for the upcoming polls.
