ILAM: CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal has announced that he would contest the House of Representatives elections from Ilam constituency-1 from the UML's quota.

The polls have been scheduled for November 26 and December 7.

"I started my political career from this constituency and have received love from the local residents. So I will vie in the polls from the constituency," Khanal was quoted in the Rastriya Samachar Samiti as saying.

Likewise, UML leader and former Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang has also announced to contest the polls from Ilam Constituency-2.
