Kathmandu, August 12:

The 12th central committee meeting of the CPN-UML on today continued discussions on the political report presented by party general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal. Central committee members said the government established following the success of the people’s movement has not been able to work properly. A majority of the central members underlined the need to establish a democratic republic. The CPN-UML central committee will meet again at 11 am tomorrow as the discussions on the party general secretary’s report has not concluded, the party said in a release.
