RAJBIRAJ, MARCH 23
CPN-UML leader and former constituent assembly member Ranju Jha and Nepali Congress Saptari regional representative Arun Kumar Pradhan have joined Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal.
Along with them, 112 local leaders and cadres of different parties jointed the JSP-N today.
Former UML CA member Jha had also once served as president of the Women, Children and Senior Citizens Society Welfare Committee, while Pradhan is former Saptari Chamber of Commerce and Industry chair and he served as regional representative for Saptari Constituency No 2 representing the Nepali Congress.
At the party-entering programme organised by the party at the meeting hall of Rajbiraj-based District Coordination Committee today, JSP-N Chair Upendra Yadav and the federal government's Physical Infrastructure and Transportation Minister Renu Kumari Yadav welcomed them to the party.
Speaking at the programme, JSP-N Chair Yadav described his party as the only party concerned about the welfare of the nation and claimed that it would emerge as the largest party in the country from the upcoming elections. He also called others to join his party for the sake of the nation, saying there wouldn't be any discrimination against anyone from any geographical region and any other background in his party.
On the occasion, Jha complained about her former party for not acknowledging her contribution fairly and said she would forward her political career in a new way from the new party.
Pradhan, on the other hand, spoke about extreme factionalism in his former party and said the politics of JSP-N had lately attracted him.
