UML obstructing constitution amendment: Leader Nidhi
JANAKPURDHAM: Nepali Congress leader and former Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi has accused the main opposition party CPN-UML for foiling the constitution amendment bill tabled at the Legislature-Parliament.
He also said that UML forged alliance with the former King Gyanendra Shah for the same, while addressing the election campaign rally in Janakpur of Dhanusha district today.
"We want political stability, but UML's main objective is to spread violence in the country." Nidhi shared.
He also clarified that NC is always ready to make the statue widely accepted by all, however, UML has been obstructing in making it a widely accepted constitution in the country.
Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi also accused UML that its leaders have been lobby against the federalism abroad, and termed it as treason, according to his aide Ramjee Dahal.
He also said that UML is against Madhes, Republic and Federalism.
Former Home Minister Nidhi also appealed the voters to cast their vote for Nepali Congress representatives as NC is committed for development, during local polls on September 18.
Speaking on a different note, leader Nidhi said a Custom Office would be set up in Piparan in Dhanusha bordering India as PM Deuba had proposed during his state visit to India.
He also said that NC is leading from the front in bringing the disgruntled forces into mainstream politics for maintaining peace in the country.
