CPN-UML has condemned Bagmati Province chief minister's recent remark in response to the allegation of the government's wanton ways.
UML chief whip of the province Dipak Niraula today issued a statement saying it was not only irresponsible, but also unethical and illegal for someone holding an important public position to resort to some stock response while responding to a serious concern.
"The chief minister's remark, who else would spend the budget if it was not the government, while responding to the general public's legitimate concern about the random spending of fund by the government, deserves serious condemnation," the statement reads.
Further, the UML said reports about the chief minister saying at pubic forums that he wouldn't provide any budget for a ward where the committee of his party hasn't been formed had drawn its attention. He asked the CM to stop such abuse of position.
The UML has accused Pande's government of scrapping the province's glory projects already on track for implementation, diverting fund meant for a project for some other purposes and creating hurdles in a number of projects being implemented and warned that the party wouldn't simply sit by and watch such acts happening.
UML has also accused the government of failing to manage staffers even after splitting the existing ministries.
The party also charged the government of failing to deliver service to the people.
