JHAPA: CPN-UML Senior Leader Jhalanath Khanal on Monday said that the country is celebrating the year as the election year.

Speaking at a press meet in Birtamod in Jhapa today, Khanal said that election fever has gripped the country to conclude the remaining task of constitution implementation.

Speaking on a different note, he said the UML became the first party in first and second round of local level elections and it would retain the position in the third round as well.

Khanal further claimed that his party would be the first party in third round of polls slated for September 18 in Province 2. “No one could stop it from becoming victorious.”

He further stated that the polls would be held in time at any cost.

He also accused the government of dillydallying to announce date of provincial and federal elections.
