UML’s Khanal says stir at decisive turn

New Delhi, April 16:

CPN-UML standing committee member Jhala Nath Khanal said that the ongoing democratic movement would take a decisive turn in a week.

He said this at an interaction organised by the Nepali Democratic Movement Support Committee in New Delhi on Sunday.

Khanal said the agitation would be a decisive one as it would not make any agreement with the King. He said if the King was ready to decide according to the wishes of the people the crisis would be resolved in a peaceful manner. Otherwise, people would give their own decision.

Khanal said there was a difference of opinion among political parties regarding the issue of a constituent assembly. He urged all to be ready for an inter-party struggle over the constituent assembly.

Treasurer of the People’s Front Nepal, Bishwo Nath Shah said they are making preparations for lakhs to stage demonstrations in the capital.

Exiled leaders Bishnu Giri, Bal Krishna Pandey, Yadav Ghimire, Laxman Panta also spoke on

the occasion.
