Unemployment on the rise due to faulty education system: Bhatta

Dhangadi, April 13

Province 7 Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta today said unemployment among educated people was increasing due to the lack of technical and vocational education in the country.

Speaking at a function organised on the occasion of 38th anniversary of Kailali Multiple Campus, CM Bhatta stated that the government was planning to adopt a new education policy to reduce unemployment in the country.

“The country has been witnessing an alarming rise in unemployment as a result of the faulty education system. The provincial government is trying its best to ensure access of children from poor and underprivileged communities to higher education. Though it is not possible to achieve all-round development of the province within five years, we will establish a system where the rule of law prevails,” he said.

CM Bhatta expressed his commitment to extend all support for upgrading Kailali Multiple Campus, where students from all communities can pursue higher education.

Meanwhile, Social Development Minister Dirgha Sodari said the provincial government was trying to bring Far-western University under its jurisdiction.
