Unidentified assailants on the run after brutally attacking woman in Bhojpur

BHOJPUR: A woman was caught unawares when two unidentified persons attacked her brutually, cutting-off her nipples, as she was indulging in a regular chore in Bhojpur on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old victim was washing clothes near Khakuwa Khola, a local river in Shadananda Municipality, when she was attacked by two men at around 1:00 pm on Wednesday. They used force upon her and cut off her nipples in a despicable act of violence.

According to District Police Office, Bhojpur, the two men fled the scene immediately upon attacking the victim. The motive for the crime has not been determined as the culprits are still at large.

Police Inspector at District Police Office (DPO), Bhojpur, Pandav Rajbanshi said the victim was taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for further treatment on the referral of the Primary Health Centre in Dingla.

Meanwhile, the DPO informed that further investigations are being carried out under the command of DPO Chief, Deputy Superintendent of Police Nara Bahadur Salami.
