DAMAULI: An unidentified was died after he was away by the Seti River near Setibulandi Ghat of Byas Municipality, Tanahun on Tuesday.

The man's identity is yet to be ascertained but police said he appeared to be in his mid 40s.

After seeing him being swept away by the river, locals and security personnel had rescued him from the downstream and rushed to the Damauli Hospital. However, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The body has been kept at the hospital for autopsy. Police said they are looking into the case and trying to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
