Thirteen bodies of the victims of the Monday’s bus accident near Bagahasota of Pyuthan were cremated today after an all-party agreement. The cremated bodies included 11 unidentified ones.

The bodies were cremated in the presence of representatives of different political parties, journalists, police administration, health officials and VDC secretaries, as they were fast decomposing and the stench was causing trouble in the Lamahi bazaar area.

The police have safely kept their belongings so that their kin can claim them in future, said Laxmi Prasad Adhikari, Inspector at the Lamahi Area Police Office. Kin of the two of the victims identified today preferred not to take the decomposing bodies with them, Adhikari said. Nim Bahadur Thapa, 54, of Juluke, Arghakhanchi, and Hari Bahadur Sunuwar, 55, of Bangesal of Pyuthan were identified today.
