MAHOTTARI:The house of lawmaker from Mahottari constituency no 6, Sitaram Bhandari, had been set ablaze by a group of unidentified persons, immediately after the promulgation of a new constitution on Sunday evening.

At around 8.00 pm the unknown persons in motorbikes had torched the ancestral house of Bhandari in Bharatpur.

The group sprayed petrol at the house before putting it into flame, informed Dinesh Mahato, a local.

According to Gaushala Area Police Office, no physical and human causalities had occurred by the fire.

Police had intensified the search operation to nab the wrongdoers informed Police Inspector Machchhindra Babu KC.
