BHOJPUR: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal stressed on the need of a national unity government as the nation is in a critical time now.

Speaking with journalists at the Biratnagar Airport on Wednesday, the leader said it would be very unfortunate for the nation if the major three parties could not stand together.

Who should lead the government will not be an issue if the government is formed on the basis of national consensus, he added.

Dahal was hopeful that the national consensual government could resolve the ongoing crisis in the nation.

Meanwhile, he said diplomatic initiatives were on in order to lift continued blockade at the Indo-Nepal border points.
