Upadhyay to return
KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Nepal to India Deep Kumar Upadhyay on Tuesday said he would return home on Sunday.
The government had recalled him on Friday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while dispatching a formal letter, instructed the envoy to return home within 15 days.
While holding a press-meet at his official residence in New Delhi, he said he would resume his political career once he returned. Ambassador Upadhyay also said he had started farewell calls in New Delhi.
Upadhyay was a central leader of Nepali Congress party before he became ambassador to India in April 2015.
He also hoped to return on a diplomatic assignment in future.
