US couple assists Nepalis in Doha

Dubai, February 9:

An American couple has come forward to support 16 Nepalis who were stranded in Doha after their company did not pay them for last seven months. US medical practitioner Deborah Harter and the spouse provided Qatari Riyal 100 to each of the workers from Khotang for their food costs.

Another American couple promised to assist the Nepalis until they got justice, according to Nepali ambassador to Qatar Dr Surya Nath Mishra. Meanwhile, the Nepali embassy in Abu Dhabi of UAE will remain open for two hours on Fridays as well from the second week of February to assist the Nepali workers who stranded in this Gulf nation.
