BARDIYA:

US ambassador James F Moriarty, who is on a visit to the mid-western Nepal, held discussions with local political leaders about the current political situation and inspected flood-affected areas in Bardiya on Tuesday, said Deveraj Bhar, Banke district secretary of the CPN (UML). Moriarty inspected the flood-hit Kalika and distributed relief materials to the members of 151 flood-hit households, said chief of the Bardiya branch of the NRCS, Govinda Poudel. Moriarty also visited the Bardiya National Park. Moriarty is slated to visit Banke, Bardiya, Dipayal and Mahendranagar.
