Vehicle reaches Khadikhet bazaar for first time

BAITADI: Khadikhet bazaar, a remote area in Baitadi district, has witnessed an arrival of vehicle for the first time on Tuesday.

The jeep reached Khadikhet bazaar after 11 local entrepreneurs constructed the road from Ratashila Temple to Khadikhet bazaar at their own investment, said Road Construction Committee Chairman, Janakraj Joshi.

The two-kilometre road from Basantapur bazaar to Khadikhet bazaar was constructed at a cost of Rs 500,000.

Locals expressed their joy after seeing the vehicle for the first time in their area and welcomed the jeep with great enthusiasm, said a local Lok Bahadur Bohara.

Similarly, 31 people, who provided their land for the construction of the road, were thanked on the occasion.
