JHAPA: Cadres of Sanghiya Limbuwan Rajyaparisad-Revolutionary (SLR-R) set three vans ablaze at Sunmai in Shantinagar-6 of Jhapa district at 11:30 pm on Thursday night. The vans were heading to Jhapa from Phikkal carrying green tea leaves, Budhabare Police Post said. SLR-R cadres had torched the vehicles for defying the indefinite transport strike called by the party on Mechi Highway starting Wednesday. They are demanding the unconditional release of thier party cadres. Search for the SLR-R cadres involved in the incident is underway, the police said.
