HETAUDA: Considering the rising temperature and continuous rainfall, anti-venom vials have been distributed in various districts of Provinces 2 and 3. The vials have been supplied considering the likelihood of increased incidents of snakebites in the region.

Regional Medical Store, Hetauda has supplied the vials to health institutions in Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara and Parsa of Province 2, and Sindhuli and Chitwan of Province 3.

A minimum of 150 to a maximum of 800 vials were sent to the district hospitals, health posts and primary health care centres, according to chief of the store, Raman Jha.

Accordingly, anti-venom vials are now available at Janakpur Zonal Hospital, Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital, Mahottari District Hospital, Rautahat District Hospital, Bara District Hospital, Sarlahi District Hospital, Nawalpur Health Post in Sarlahi, and Nijgadh Health Post in Bara of Province 2.

Likewise, in Province 3, the vials are available in Sindhuli District Hospital and Bharatpur Hospital.
