Veep Pun leaves for China today

Kathmandu, Sept 18

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun is leaving for China tomorrow on a six-day visit to attend the 17th Western China International Fair in Chengdu, the Capital City of Sichuan Province.

Pun, who will be accompanied by his spouse Hastmali Pun, will be leading a delegation including his advisor Jivan Acharya, Secretary at Office of the Vice-president Ram Kumar Acharya, Ambassador of Nepal to China Leela Mani Paudyal, and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the visit, Vice-president Pun will address the opening ceremony of the fair on September 20 and also deliver a keynote speech on the same day at the Belt and Road Cooperation Development Conference on the  Business Community of Shared Future, according to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ press release.

Besides meeting senior Chinese leaders in Chengdu, Vice-president Pun is also scheduled to visit Yibincity and Lizhuang Ancient Town of Sichuan Province. He will return home on September 24.
