Victims get timber

KAVRE: The District Forest Office, Kavre, is all set to distribute timber to those who lost their houses in the earthquakes last year. Prem Khanal, chief of Kavre District Forest Office, said the government was all set to initiate timber distribution from Kavre. “The campaign will start from Hilejaljale kha Community Forest in Nagarkot from April 24,” said sources. Minister for Forest Agni Prasad Sapkota had directed Kavre District Forest Office to launch subsidised distribution of timber across the nation from the community forest. The government has urged the quake victims to drop applications at the nearby community forests to receive their share of timber.
