Vote counting of 9 local units completed in Makwanpur

HETAUNDA: Vote counting of nine local units including one Municipality and eight Rural Municipalities has been completed in Makwanpur district.

CPN-UML candidates were victorious in five rural municipalities, whereas, Nepali Congress candidates won two Rural Municipalities.

However, CPN-Maoist Centre managed to win in one Municipality and one Rural Municipality.

NC candidates Damodar Khanal and Raj kumar Malla won the chief positions in Bakaiyya and Raksirang of Makawanpur district respectively. Similarly, Nirmala Tamang of NC won the deputy chief's position in Raksirang in the district.

CPN-UML candidates Jivan Lama, Tanka Bahadur Moktan, Bidur Humagai, EkRaj Upreti, Hidam Lama were elected as Rural Municipalities chief.

Similarly, Uma Lama, Sukumaya Thing, HarkaMaya Rumba, Manila Bista and Parbati Rana were elected as deputy chief of Indrasarobar, Kailash, Gadhi, Manahari, Bhimphedi Rural Municipalities respectively.

CPN-UML candidate Sarala Bolakhe was elected as a deputy chief of Bakaiya Rural Municipality in the district.

Meanwhile, CPN-Maoist Centre candidate Sarkesh Ghalan was elected as the mayor of Thaha Municipality, while CPN-UML's Dhanmaya Syangtan was elected as deputy mayor.
