KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 2

Wangchuk Rapten Lama, chairperson of Kyimolung Foundation, has been honored with the 'Kindness and Leadership Award' on Tuesday. The recognition was conferred upon him by the Women of the Future during a program held in Singapore, acknowledging his contributions in the social sector.

Alongside him, 50 other individuals engaged in social work were also honored at the event.

Lama is the first Nepali to receive this recognition from the organization.

The foundation praised Lama for his significant contributions to the healthcare sector in Northern Gorkha, where he has been actively involved in organizing free health camps and establishing birthing centers.

Lama was born in a remote village of Chhekampar in Chumnubri Rural Municipality, Gorkha. He is the third oldest of his six siblings.

Since 2018, the organization has been honoring individuals globally for their contributions to social, economic, and business sectors, recognizing those who make a positive impact on society.
