Dhankuta, July 21

People have been reeling under acute drinking water crisis after the flood cause by incessant rainfall swept away water pipes in the district headquarters of Dhankuta.

Water was supplied to the locals of Ward No 7 of Dhankuta Municipality from the confluence of Lungdhang and Nibuwa Khola via pumping system.

Chairman Dorna Guragain of Consumers Committee said water supply was completely obstructed after the pipes were swept away from both the rivers.
