Water level in Narayani River crosses danger mark
NAWALPARASI: Water level in the Narayani River has crossed danger mark following incessant rainfall on Tuesday.
It is considered dangerous when the water level crosses 8.4 metre.
According to Chief District Officer Mahadev Pantha, earlier the water level in the river had crossed 10.2 metre.
Concerned authorities have warned the locals of Gandak area to stay alert.
CDO Pantha informed that personnel from Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed at Gandak area.
All the sluice gates of the Gandak barrage in Gandak area have been opened to release water.
Locals residing near the mighty river have been terrorised with the increase of water level in the river.
