Water shortage hits Dadeldhura HQ

DADELDHURA:  The district headquarters of Dadeldhura is facing acute shortage of drinking water from Tuesday after wildfire burnt the main water supply pipeline.

According to the Khalanga Drinking Water Users' Committee, the district headquarters is reeling under severe shortage of drinking water as the water supply was completely cut off from Tuesday afternoon.

Users' Committee Chairman Rabi KC said that the fire started at Mahabharat hill completely damaged the pipeline. The only drinking water facility to the district headquarters remained obstructed.

A technical team would reach at the Mahabharat hill where the water tank is located to resume the drinking water supply, it has been learned.
