Whereabouts of Doti journalist still not known

DOTI: Whereabouts of local journalist Tej Bahadur Khadka ‘Teju’ is still not known almost two months after he went missing from a religious fair at Budhinanda Municipality of Bajura district.

Khadka went missing on August 25 while returning home after attending the religious fair.

Journalists of Doti district have alleged that government bodies have not shown a keen interest on carrying out search for the missing journalist.

They have also blamed the ‘mission team’ -- which was formed to search for Khadka and investigate the circumstances of his disappearance -- of negligence.

The Nepal Press Union had formed a ‘mission team’ led by central president Badri Sigdel some months back to conduct the search. The team had planned to visit Bajura via Dhangadhi on a fact-finding mission but it has not gone to Bajura as yet.

Khadka is the founder president of Nepal Press Union, Doti. The Union’s district president Prakash Bom said they have urged various bodies to pay attention in finding the missing journalist.
