PARSA: One person died and three others were injured after being crushed by a falling tree at Nirmalbasti in Parsa on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Shanta Maya Shrestha (30) of Nirmalbasti-5.

Incapacitated in the incident, Shrestha breathed her last on the way to a hospital.

Dudh Maya Shrestha (35), Phutung Shrestha (40) and Manila Shrestha (16) of Nirmalbasi-5 were injured in the incident.

The incident took place while they were grazing goats at the forest in the Prasa Wildlife Reserve, police said.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Narayani Sub-regional Hospital, Birgunj.
