Woman dies in tiger attack

CHITWAN: A woman died after being attacked by a tiger in a community forest at Kumroj buffer zone in the eastern part of Chitwan district on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Aailu Chudhary (25), a native of Chitwan, informed the Chitwan National Park (CNP).

Information Officer of CNP Nurendra Aryal shared that the incident occurred when Chaudhary had gone to the nearest forest to collect fodders along with her nine friends.

The latter fled to safety as the wild beast turned up that eventually mauled Chaudhary to death.

A team from CNP and Nepal Army has been dispatched to the incident site on elephant to recover the body, shared the Information Officer Aryal.

Altogether 13 persons have lost their life to the attack of the wild animals in the Park in the last fiscal year, according to the CNP.
