CHITWAN: A woman died on the spot after being hit by an unidentified vehicle at Jalbire of Chandibhanjyang VDC-9 in Chitwan district on Monday.

The woman seems to be in her late 20s.

According to Chitwan District Police Office, a citizenship certificate found in possession of the deceased  mentions that she was from Kalyanpur-1, Nuwakot.

It is yet to be known whether the girl fell off the vehicle or was hit by the vehicle while walking on the street along the Narayangadh-Muglin road, said police.

Police meanwhile began the investigation after the case was filed at 4:30 pm today. The vehicle is yet to be identified.

The body has been kept at the Bharatpur Hospital for autopsy.
