NAWALPARASI: A woman died after the scooter she was riding on collided with another scooter in Gaindakot of Nawalparasi along the East-West Highway on Monday night.

Police identified the deceased as Anisha Rana Magar (26), of Gunjanagar in Chitwan.

According to police, the incident occurred when the scooter (Na 41 Pa 2675) which Ranamagar was riding and another scooter (Na 18 Pa 1246) collided head-on in Bhrikuti Chok yesterday, critically injuring her.

She was rushed to New Medical College, Chitwan, where she breathed her last during the course of treatment, informed Chitwan District Police Office.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
