PANCHTHAR: A woman has died after a motorcycle hit her at Phidim-Ilam Road section along the Mechi Highway.

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Bimala Kumari Rai of Phidim.

Rai was hit by the motorcycle (Ba 95 Pa 9319) on Tuesday evening at Lakhi Kharkha in Phidim.

According to police, Rai breathed her last while en route to Birtamod for treatment.

Meanwhile, the pillion rider and motorcyclist who were left injured in the incident are receiving treatment in police detention.
