CHITWAN: A woman was killed in a wild elephant attack in Chitwan district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Bhima Kumal (48) of Narayani Municipality of the district.

According to the District Police Office, Chiwan, Kumal was attacked by the wild tusker while she was collecting firewood nearby her house yesterday afternoon.

Seriously injured Kumal died while receiving treatment at the College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur.
