KAWASOTI: A woman was killed in a tiger attack in Nawalparasi on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Agyawati Rana Magar (45) of Madhyabindu-7, Amasa in Nawalparasi, according to Sub-Inspector Haridwar Dhobi of the Chormara Police Post.

The tiger had attacked her while was collecting firewood in a local forest at around 9 am yesterday.

A team of the Armed Police Force with the help of villagers had started searching for her after she did not return home till late evening.

The team later found Agyawati dead in the forest, police informed.

The dead body has been kept at a health post in Chormara.
