More than 100 women health volunteers of Rajbiraj Municipality were deprived of allowance due to negligence on the part of former people's representatives and staffers of the municipality in Saptari.
The women health volunteers did not receive allowance of a year. The volunteers were deprived of the facility after former executive and responsible staffers did not allocate the budget for the running fiscal.
The volunteers received Rs 2,000 per month. They have met Chief Administrative Officer Bhogendra Prasad Yadav today and demanded the allowance at the earliest.
As many as 103 women health volunteers have been working in all 16 wards of the municipality.
They complained that they were deprived of motivation allowance in the running fiscal.
A woman health volunteer Nirmal Pokhrel said that volunteers did not even get the allowance allotted for Vitamin A programme. They were deployed for the programme with Rs 1,600.
