Yadav lauds literacy campaign
POKHARA, July 15
Education Minister Chitralekha Yadav on Wednesday underscored the role of school management committees in order for making teaching-learning activities effective at community schools.
Speaking at a programme organised to declare Kaski as a fully literate district here, Yadav attributed poor performance of community schools to inefficacious pedagogic activities.
“As majority of students in community schools have failed in English, Science and Maths, it calls for better performance on the part of the concerned subject teachers,” Yadav argued.
The minister was all praise for the district’s status and called on everyone to enroll their wards in schools for education.
“As without good education we can’t produce quality manpower, it’s high time teachers and other stakeholders contributed to improve the quality of education in community schools so that our students could compete in the world market,” she remarked.
The district had 96.9 per cent and 95.03 per cent educated male and female population in the age brackets of 15 to 60 respectively.
