YCL cadres capture royalists’ houses
Chitwan, October 7:
The cadres of Young Communist League today took under control a two-storeyed house at Kshetrapur of Bharatpur Municipality-2, belonging to Ramji Bista, former Dhaualgiri zonal administrator.
The YCL cadres hoisted CPN Maoist flag on Bista’s house, which had been rented to Live Care Nepal Pvt Ltd.
Krishna Adhikari, Managing Director of the company, said: “Three persons came to my office and urged me to vacate the house at the earliest. They said the house belonged to them.”
“Bista, a royalist, was found guilty by the Rayamajhi Commission of misusing state money and power, so we have captured his house,” YCL Chitwan in-charge Sailesh said.
Meanwhile, a report from Pokhara said, YCL cadres yesterday erected Maoist party flags in the house belonging to Ramesh Bahadur Bhattarai, a former Kaski District Development Committee member nominated by the royal regime.
A group of YCL cadres barged into Bhattarai’s house at Baidam of Pokhara and erected flags at the top of the house, door and verandah.
They have also pasted a notice restricting its sale.
Addressing a corner assembly organised after capturing the house, YCL Kaski chairman Deepak Koirala said action will be taken against 11 persons who were found guilty by the Rayamajhi Commission.
Police later removed all the flags from the house.
Bhattarai’s wife Sushila said, “YCL cadres broke into the house at 5:15 pm yesterday and erected the flags.”
Meanwhile, Kaski chapter of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, issuing a press statement today, urged the Young Communist League cadres to refrain from activities like capturing peoples’ private property and demanded action against the guilty.
