Maoist-aligned Young Communist league cadres seized land and a house on Tuesday belonging to the Dhankuta DDC chairman during the royal regime. Saying that he was a royalist, they seized Bala Nanda Bhurtel’s property at Dhankuta-7. “Our party will use Bhurtel’s house,” Maoist Dhankuta office secretary Chetan said, adding, “If he wants to sell the house, our party will purchase it.” Earlier, YCL and ANNISU-R cadres had blackened Bhurtel’s face.
